Scottish Hotel Awards
Every year we enter the prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards. These awards come from our hard work over the year, interviews with myself and many members of the team with the judges, and also planned and blind stays being amongst some of the criteria we are judged on.
This year due to COVID-19, the annual awards gala dinner was cancelled, which would have been last night. So......last night we had a “Virtual” awards night online, with results being post during the evening by the Chairman of the Scottish Hotel Awards Mr Gary McLean-Quin, who opened the evening with a small but poignant speech.
Poised with a glass of wine or a drink of some kind, our team here at the Townhead Hotel patiently watched their screens awaiting the results.
I am so pleased with our results this year:
- Winner: NATIONAL Casual Dining Hotel in Scotland
- Winner: Regional Executive Chef Laura McEwan
To top off what was a great evening, there was an even bigger surprise to come.
Last night I was awarded a Commendation for Outstanding Industry Leadership.
Thank you to every single member of our team here at the Townhead Hotel for yet again showing that we are a great place, and for all your hard work and dedication. You are truly all winners.
